FHU Managers in Action Club

My name is Kim Whitt and I am the Management Program Coordinator for the College of Business at Freed-Hardeman University.  We have not had an active management club on campus in a few years.  I am in the process of resurrecting the management club.  This club is open to all students on campus who have a desire to work in a management capacity in the future.  My intent on resurrecting this club is to bring students together to develop and enhance their management and  leadership skills, to give students an opportunity to network with areas business professionals by bringing in guest speakers and providing opportunities for students to received hands-on management experience, and to provide students with opportunities to give back to the community in a positive way.

This semester the management club has 2 exciting events taking place.  The first event is a case competition over spring break.  A small group of students will travel to Orlando, FL to compete against other students from universities all over in presenting a business strategy case.  The group will be able to network with industry professionals, attend career advancement workshops, and showcase their business strategy and presentation skills.

The second event will be an Easter egg hunt for the children of Henderson, TN.  My Leadership class is hosting this event as part of their service project.  They are so excited to be hosting this for the children.  This event will be held at Carnes Field the weekend before Easter.  The students have been busy planning this event for several weeks and continue to showcase their management and leadership skills.  My friend, Mr. Bunny can’t wait to meet all the children in the community.  He is also very excited about the event we have planned.

We need your help to make these two events and future ones a success.  We are seeking donations to help fund the startup of the management club this semester and cover expenses related to the events we have planned and provide us with funds to plan future events and opportunities for the students and community.  Will you help us reach our goal by donating?  We appreciate everything you do for Freed-Hardeman and solicit your prayers to make these and future events a success.  Thank you for considering donating to this cause.
