Four students from Freed Hardeman University, Summer England, Parker Pearce, Jacob Dowdy, and Jacob Moseley have been selected to perform as part of the Young Adult Honors Performance Series Chorale in February 2018 at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

This is the second year that music students from FHU have been invited to participate in the workshop and in the Carnegie Hall performance. Following the nominations for the program by the music faculty (Dr. Richard England, Dr. Gary McKnight, and Dr. Alan Kinningham) the students were required to submit an audio audition, and additional materials. Rehearsals begin February 1, 2018 in New York and will culminate at the February 4, performance.
The students and faculty are now seeking to raise support for the travel costs and workshop expenses. There is an expense of $1,500/student to just to participate in the Carnegie Hall workshop, plus additional hotel, food and airfare costs that will be needed. The total cost of the trip will be around $10,500. If you are interested in assisting with the costs associated with the trip, we hope you will consider supporting these students as they pursue this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Thank you in advance for support of these Freed-Hardeman students and their efforts.
