Lady Lions National Tournament Travel

Congratulations to the Lady Lions, who after competing the regular season with a perfect 30-0 record, have  earned their place at the NAIA National Championship which starts March 15! Currently the Lady Lions are ranked #1 in the NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll.

This year, the national tournament will be held in Billings, Montana, 1,500 miles from Henderson. In the past, the national tournament has been held as close as Jackson, TN, and as far as Kansas City, MO. This year's location in Montana adds an additional 1,000 miles of travel each way over last year's trip to the national tournament in Kansas City.

With this year's additional travel comes additional expenses.

One significant additional travel cost is the necessity to fly to the national tournament, given the distance, rather than drive. The travel costs simply to reach Billings, Montana will be around  $12,000- $13,000.

This is an exciting year for FHU Athletics, and especially for the young women who have worked hard to represent FHU so well.

Every dollar you give serves as tangible support in helping the existing Lady Lions budget cover their increased travel costs and show our student athletes we appreciate all their dedication as they represent our university so well.
